Our laboratory focuses on researching the relationship between sleep/circadian rhythms and physical activity/sports in humans. Additionally, we study the effects of mental health on athletes and the benefits of physical activity on mental health.
Our research aims to accumulate evidence on sleep/circadian rhythms, mental health, sports, and physical activity, and apply it to real-world settings.

Access
- Get off at Seibu Ikebukuro Line Sayamagaoka Station (West Exit) and take a taxi. Tell the driver you’re heading to “Waseda University Frontier Research Center.”
- Upon arrival at the main gate via school bus from Kotesashi station, please use the shuttle bus departing from the main gate to the Frontier Research Center. Please check the schedule for the shuttle bus departing from the main gate to the Frontier Research Center, as it may vary frequently depending on the season. Please note that there are few buses available.
- Shuttle buses also depart from the “South Gate” besides the main gate. Upon arrival at the Frontier Research Center, the entrance is located on the second floor of the building.
- If you’re coming by car, please input “〒359-1165 Saitama Prefecture, Tokorozawa City, Horinouchi 135-1” into your navigation system.
- It takes about 2 hours from Tokyo metropolitan area. Please plan accordingly.
